Experience
My NY State teacher certification in English 7-12 is in progress and will be completed by June 2015. I have spent the past year as a high school teacher in Philadelphia, teaching both ninth and eleventh grade English, and it has been the most rewarding of my life. Education is my passion, and my experience extends both in and out of the classroom. As both an English and History major, I frequently tutored and edited essays. At Binghamton, I TA'ed a college film class while acting as a teacher's assistant in a local elementary school classroom. I co-founded Binghamton's only book club and love helping others in the study of English! I am also very experienced in helping with college application essays. This past year, I also worked as an intern at Upward Bound, which is a summer school program at the University of Pennsylvania meant to help students strengthen their academic skills.
