ExperienceI am currently a Speech-Language Pathologist who has experience working with students and adults in addressing language needs. I have been tutoring other subjects for over five years. I graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from college on a Full Tuition Honors College Scholarship with a double major in French and Italian. I graduated with a 4.0 GPA. Last year, I scored above the 93rd percentile on my GRE Verbal and Writing sections. I scored above the 98th percentile on the SAT/ACT Verbal sections. My first experience teaching was when I lived in Italy during my junior year and taught English to high school students. Since graduating college, I have worked at the international Berlitz Language School, where I have taught English, French and Italian to children and adults of all levels and all language backgrounds. I also teach SAT classes at a test prep company in New York. Having graduated high school with a 4.0 GPA from all AP and honors classes, I am familiar with teaching Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Language, Literature and other subjects part of the elementary, middle and high school curricula. Due to my language studies and SAT experience, I am also strong in proofreading, editing and grammar. I am currently going to school for speech-language pathology and have a 4.0 GPA.
I tailor all of my lessons to the individual students I teach. I am friendly, patient and not intimidating: three qualities that I personally find important in a tutor. I truly love teaching and meeting new students. I find that I always learn from my students when I teach. I look forward to learning from you!
HobbiesIn addition to teaching, I love languages (both teaching them and learning them) and learning about other cultures, especially through travel.
